The Farm at Los Olivos: Phoenix Project ‘Like the Desert Botanical Garden of Agriculture’
Matthew Moore and Aric Mei are currently working on a unique project: an agricultural park in the middle of Phoenix’s urban area. A 4-acre site in Central Phoenix is waiting for the public’s support in order to start a change in how people in Phoenix view food. The pair is dedicated to providing a vibrant community space as well as education to the public about farming and the crop cycle, as the “supermarket mentality” is just not realistic. The site will offer products for purchase, as well as a restaurant where chefs use the organically grown produce on site.
The site offers a financial benefit to the City of Phoenix, as well as easily accessible healthy lifestyles for visitors.
