Museum of the West Shows Why Green Boosts Business
Scottsdale’s Museum of the West is a new LEED Gold certified building. It has introduced many sustainably lead initiatives such as reducing water by 40 percent, low water use landscaping, reducing energy usage by 38 percent, over 70 percent recycled material for the building, and paints and coatings with low emissions. The results will be shared at the Building Museums 2018 national conference in Philadelphia. The design and construction of the building have reduced operating costs, considering the project to be very economical for a major attraction.
