miraval resort masterplan
Miraval is recognized for the resort’s pioneering programs, exclusive spa treatments, nourishing cuisine and world-class wellness specialists in a stunning 400 acre setting grounded within the earth of Tucson’s Sonoran Desert. Miraval Resorts wants each guest to live their best life, and every experience from arrival to departure is an expression of Miraval’s commitment to being present in the moment and living a life in balance. The Master Plan fortifies these principals by providing design guidelines that will inform decisions regarding landscape and hardscape character, future development phases and maintenance guidelines. Every effort was made to consider and create an honest integration of materiality with a sensitivity to the immediate Sonoran Desert environment, native plant materials, wildlife, topography, and climate. The guidelines provide a framework which promote a well-designed and cohesive sense of place at the resort, while also allowing for flexibility in future site-scale detailing.
