MICHELE SHELOR, PLA, ASLA

Michele Shelor is a founding partner of Colwell Shelor. Michele, together with her design partner, is responsible for shaping Colwell Shelor as a leader in design excellence and sustainability in landscape architecture. Her work is diverse, encompassing urban plazas, cultural institutions, educational facilities, over-structure gardens and urban gardens.  Michele has led the design of many of Colwell Shelor’s signature projects, including Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, Mesa’s City Center and the University of Arizona’s Environmental + Natural Resource Building II.

Michele holds a Bachelor's of Arts in History/Political and Bachelor's of Science in Landscape Architecture from Arizona State University, where she received a National ASLA Award for her design research in alternative building materials. In 2016, she was named  Arizona ASLA Landscape Architect of the Year.  The firm’s project awards include AZASLA Awards of Excellence, AZASLA Honor Awards for Design, and Arizona Forward Association Environmental Excellence Awards.
