Ana Lucia Montemayor

A Mexican architect graduated from the University of Monterrey in 2022, Ana Lucía has a deep interest in environmentally responsible design, as she always aims for sustainable strategies that build strong relationships between people and their surroundings.

As a designer, Ana Lucía takes interest in several subjects and has worked in multiple areas, including interior design, architecture, landscape and urban design.

Ana Lucía started her professional experience joining Urban Studio, where she worked on various residential, recreational and educational landscape projects, discovering a deep passion for landscape that she keeps following to this day.

While working on her landscape thesis “ethnobotanical corridor” Ana Lucía gained knowledge of the historical relationship between northeast Mexico’s community and native plants, as well as an understanding of biological interactions between the regional flora and fauna.

After graduating, she joined Colwell Shelor, where she’s continually learning to use her knowledge and skills in a different setting and culture.

Ana Lucía always aims to keep learning and improving as a designer, as she has a deep care for the community and strives to make her designs a meaningful experience.
